Dark Light
Dark Light is the fifth studio album by HIM. This one was released on September 26th, 2005, which they began recording the album in March of that year. On this one, they used producer Tim Palmer, who had also mixed the band's previous album. Dark Light was a more polished album than the previous one. There wasn't that Rawness to it like the others had. This influence on this one was Black Sabbath, U2, and the works of composer Angelo Badalamenti. It's definitely something you can see from it.
The band line up is still the same.

I do really like this album. Some of the songs are a little out there. Don't get me wrong I will listen to them but some aren't ones I want to play on repeat. This is not by any means a bad album. It's just not one of my favorite. I love Killing Loneliness it's one of those songs that every time I hear it just hits me in the right spot. Dark Light is a random one that is just delightful.
This album did produce Rip out the Wings of a Butterfly which has for some reason become to the song they are most known for. Seriously I have little-had people tell me that is the only song they know. It's sad cause they are sooooo much more than that.
