Seven Deadly Sins Review
This is one of my favorite books of all time. If you are a fan of Corey Taylor's then you are aware he doesn't sugar coat anything. If you know who he gives him a google, he is a damn good time. Plus it's worth it, I promise.
I love everything this man does. Seriously I could listen to him read the dictionary. I actually was lucky enough to go to a show he was doing on his book tour for this book. We drove 4 hours to Atlanta and back just to see this man. It was so worth it.
This is the 1st book he wrote it was released in 2011 so it's been out for 6 years, but It just feels wrong to me to review any of the other 3 without starting with this one. Actually, I may review the 3 this month, haven't decided yet.
This book is his take on the original Seven Deadly Sins. He breaks them down chapter by chapter by telling stories about everything. There is a really great story about how he fell in love with a ceiling fan. He even creates a new set of deadly sins at the end of the book. Seriously he covers it all to a great extent in this book and it's amazing.
For me, this book is one I find myself constantly going back to. Mainly because of the effect it had on my life. I read it at a time I was really down on myself and it helped me evolve and start changing the way I think. It took years and a lot of other things to get me to where I am today. This book was the jump point for me. There is one line in it that I keep written down " Do yourself a favor and move out of your own head". That line has helped me more than anything since I tend to stay stuck in my own head a lot. Honestly, this book may be why I adore Corey Taylor so much.
If you are one are a fan of great big mouth, needs some motivation, just want a good read, or even question the seven deadly sins a little then this is a good book for you to pick up. I ordered mine off amazon. I included the link below.
