March Ipsy Glam Bag
This month's theme I just adore. It's "Create" which I think they are doing great with these empowering ones. The 1st line on this card says "This month, turn yourself - and your world- into a work of art". I just love it and it's something that's needed. Most people who get Ipsy bags are people who just want to try new things without paying the full price. It is pretty popular with young girls from what I have seen so to have a positive message like that is something that's needed. Actually, anyone of any age needs that. You gotta realize it's ok to create yourself, be the amazing work of art you were born to be.
I love this bag! It works so perfectly for the theme and to include the markers to help decorate it was genius. I had to include a picture of it when I got it and of the coloring, I did too it. I really dig this and it was a nice little change. Actually, it was really just fun to color it in. I would love to see them do more bags like this. The only thing I was a little sad about was getting only 2 markers, but then again it may have been overkill if there was more.
I have gotten several City Color products from Ipsy bag. They are all a pretty good quality and I never have any issues with them. This one is a highlighter which I don't believe I've gotten. I usually get eyeshadow or liners. This one is a duo of a cream and powder. Personally, I don't care for cream ones cause they sometimes conflict with my powder. This one is light and can be dabbed on to where there is little conflict. The powder is a little intense and works better as a bronzer on me. I like this little duo, even though it's not something I would normally buy.
Glossier is a brand I've recently tried and become obsessed with. So when in saw this in the preview of the bag I was super excited. I actually have a full size of some of this Balm dotcom but in the flavor Birthday Cake. It's such an amazing formula. It's not sticky, doesn't dry out your lips, and doesn't make them feel weird. I will be doing a full review of the Glossier order I got since it was such a perfect package. This one is a must-have.
Hikari is a brand I have gotten a lot of in these bags. Mainly eyeshadow and a blush. These are great quality products and I'm always greatly pleased with them. I have yet to explore the brand and see what else they have but I will be after this one.
I was a little disappointed at 1st mainly because I thought this was the same copper color that I always get. This one was a pleasant surprise. It's a gold that has this strange beautiful green hue to it. These formulas are creamy and go on so smooth. It's really lovely and I dig it.
I adore Tarte so much, really it's no secret. So when I saw that I was getting this Sex Kitten eyeliner I was excited. This is a stick liner which usually I'm not a fan of because they break and never go on as good as the liquid does. This one was surprising. It goes smooth and I didn't have any issues with it breaking or just not working. I have used some liners that literally will not go on and it's just a waste really. This one is amazing and I would buy it again if I needed a non-liquid eyeliner.
I really dig Meg Cosmetics. I got one of their twin nail sets in an Ipsy bag and liked it so much I bought 3 more. I also have a gel kit from them. So I was excited about these masks. Ipsy usually tosses a random mask in the bags so to get one from a brand I actually knew was a big deal to me. I cleansed my face as you should before doing one of these so you get the full effect. I opened the package to take it out and thought it was a hard paper mask, but it's actually just a plastic film for it. Which is the 1st time I've seen that in a mask that I have tried. The mask fits my face pretty well and gives an instant cool effect. It's really quite relaxing and soothing. I left it on for 20 minutes, took it off and rubbed in some of the excesses. I let the rest just soak in and it left my skin feeling soft and refreshed. The mask didn't make my face feel heavy or rough which some masks do when you 1st take them off. I really dig this one and will be buying more of them.
I'm really quite pleased with this bag. Ipsy has been doing great lately. Honestly, the review you do on the app about the products does help. I have eliminated a lot of bullshit products that way. I'm very happy with how well they have been doing with these bags.
