Lorac Alter Ego Lipstick
I'm picking this one as my product of the week simple cause it's pretty great.
I bought this one on a whim when I found it in the discount section at Ulta.
I really dig the minimal design on the box that gives it that space feel.
The description they put on the side of this is perfect. That alone was one of the reasons I bought it.
The tube is this mirrored plastic. It looks like metal and that it would be heavy. It's not it's super lightweight. I dig the setup and the color pot at the bottom. Which I know some lipstick hide a secret stash at the bottom and I can't for the life of me get that open so It may not be the case for this one.
I love engravings on lipsticks. This one is a bold logo for the brand. Also this set up is perfection.
First, let me take about this color. It's a bright red name Pinup, which is perfect. I got it based on the name. The color is that classic Pinup red and I adore it. I've been buying a lot of red lipstick lately.
The formula is light and goes one smooth. I have been using a lip brush with it so that I can get the most out of it with and really contour my lips. This one last a damn good while too. I wore it out for a girl night a couple weeks ago, I only reapplied after dinner cause it wore off a little. It leaves this lovely stain on your lips so that you don't get that horrible half on half off bullshit some lipstick give you.
This is after dinner, notice it left a lovely stain to my lips to where it appears I'm still wearing lipstick.
This was later that night after the reapply and Starbucks. This was over 4 hours later and it's still going strong. I really love a lipstick that makes it through the long haul of a hectic day and night. This one is perfect for that. These tubes go for $18 and each of them has power names like CEO, Centerfold, and, Trendsetter. Also, they come in a Satin and Matte finishes. The one I got was a Matte.
