Biossance Squalane & Probiotic Gel Moisturizer
This one was a random sample I got with a Sephora order that I came across last week so decided to go ahead and try it.
This is a Squalane + Probiotic Gel Moisturizer by a brand Biossance, which is a brand I've not heard. I always get a little excited for new products especially moisturizer. I'm getting older and more concern about my skincare so I'm more obsessed with finding the best of the best.
This one is a lotion gel, I say that because it's not as thick as a normal gel but still kind of feels like it is. I only used a pea-sized amount of this and it covers my whole face. After 5 mins it soaks in and my face is insanely smooth. Also, it takes out a little bit of the redness on my face. This product is designed to restore skin healthy appearance from stress.
Here are some of the Benefits (which I stole from their site).
- Improves and maintains hydration on the skin’s surface.
- Calms the look of skin redness.
- Reduces the appearance of pore size.
I found Clinical Trial results for this one as well. Sephora has been amazing with including these. I don't know why some of the brand websites don't.
Research results:
In a clinical study with 33 women age 18 to 69, 28 days, using twice daily:
After 3 days of use:
- 73% of the subjects showed a 14% reduction in water loss, resulting in healthier skin barrier
- 81% of the subjects showed a 6% decrease in redness
After 28 days of use:
- 94% of the subjects showed a decrease in redness and rosacea and an increase in radiance and even complexion
After 3 days of use:
- 81% of women say that skin is softer
- 78% of women say that skin is healthier and more hydrated
- 75% of women say that skin is smoother
- 72% of women say that skin feels more balanced
After 28 days of use:
- 91% of women say that skin appears healthier
- 89% of women say skin is softer
- 85% of women say that skin appears dewy and more supple
This product from testing it myself and to reading the results seems like a miracle cream. Honestly it better be if you have to pay $52 for a 1.6oz jar of it. I'm not dissing it on the price by any means. I think this stuff is lovely and would buy it myself. However, I got bills to pay and can't justify blowing that much on a tiny jar of face cream. You can also get a .34 oz jar from the brand's site for $16 which I would spend cause it's more in my price range. I would suggest being on the lookout for samples of it just to make sure it works for you before purchasing. I have included links below as always.
