Jan Sephora Play
Hey! It's Thursday and I'm posting super weird I know! I realized that Friday was actually February and didn't want to post a January Subscription then. I screwed this up somehow but not really so here we go to finish up January!
I got my Sephora box last week and jumped right into testing and trying products.
This month's Theme is Your Beauty Future, which I am in love with.
They also included a Beauty Scope for the year. I think it's perfect for the start of the year. Also, I am really into horoscopes and moon/star vibes. Honestly, this was right up my damn alley.
They are still going on with these plastic bags. I believe this is the exact same one from when they started doing these. Honestly, I haven't figured out how or what to use these for. If anyone has any ideas let me know.
I adore Sunday Riley, I have never tired a bad product from them. So I was excited when I pulled this one out of the box. This is their Good Genes Lactic Acid Treatment, which based on the name you would think it's a peal of some sort but it's not. It comes in this fancy bag which threw me off when I opened it and it was just a tube of it inside. However, I prefer the tube to a bag every time cause skin care products that come in the bags are just harder to keep and dry out fast. This one is a light cream that you only have to use a pea size amount to cover your face. It instantly starts working and within mins, your face is super smooth. I am seriously stunned by it and may invest in full size.
I may not though only cause its insane. The 1oz is $105 and the 1.7 oz is $158. Like what the hell is in this to make it that much.
I really like Belif as well. I have their Aqua Bomb Moisturing that's amazing so of course I was stoked when I saw this. This is their Aqua Bomb Sleeping Mask. How this one works is you do your normal night skin ritual and after moisturizer you but a thick layer of this. I let mine dry, which only takes a couple mins and go to bed. I messed up on it the 1st time, I only did my toner then applied this without my moisturizer. I went with it and when I completely woke up I rinsed my face off. My skin was still super smooth and hydrated. The next night I did do it the right way and it was so much better. My Face is soft, there is no redness, and I have a slight glow to it. I dig it and would probably buy it again.
This one is $34 for a 2.53 oz jar, which it's too bad.
Beauty Blender's Blender Cleanser Solid Pro, this is actually my favorite cleanser for my makeup tools. Actually, I didn't open this one since I have one that I haven't gotten through yet. This one is perfect, it fulls cleanses and doesn't have a strong odor to it that it ruins your brushes. It's a simple formula and works amazing. My brushes are left completely clean, even my blender is almost as good as new. I say that cause some foundation just ruins blenders I have encountered a couple. I will always use this as my go-to for my beauty tool cleaning needs.
This one is $16 and they always have them in sets that are around the same price.
I am really into Drunk Elephant and have gotten a lot of their products in these boxes over the past very months. I haven't been disappointed to where I would completely write off the brand. Their moisturizers are amazing. This is the Lala Retro whipped Cream which is a light moisturizing cream that you apply to your dry skin. I have used this as my night moisturizer or just after cleansing water to rehydrate. It's a little weird at first like it's not soaking in but, after a few mins it does your skin is soft and has a little glow to it. You don't have to use a lot of it either. I only have to dip my finger into it a little a couple time and it will cover my whole face. When I say dip I mean that you can barely tell that I have used any of it. I really like it.
This one is $60 for a 1.69oz jar. I don't know if I would buy it again based on the price tho.
I love Bite so much! They are easily one of my favorite brands when it comes to damn good lipstick. They are always creamy and smell amazing. This is their Matte Creme Lip Crayon in Glace which is basically a nude on me. It's the same shade as my lips so it works perfectly as a liner or just a nude lip. Actually, I love a nude liner so that I can slightly over line my lips then add lipstick over it. As with all their lip products, this one is creamy and perfect. I would definitely buy one of these again.
This one comes in 23 shades and goes for $24.
Finally, this month's Bonus which is a brand I have not heard of. This is Marajo Hair Care and these are samples of their Nourishing Cleansing Creme and Deep Treatment Butter. In case you are wondering those are basically fancy names for Shampoo and Conditioner and I'm here for it. I say that because at 1st I was confused as to what they were but the instructions are to use the cleansing cream then the butter so yeah that's what they are. I used these last night and OMG I was first excited that these samples actually had enough to complete work for my hair. I could have used a little more of the Deep Treatment Butter but it was enough to work. I towel dried my hair and it was manageable so I let it air dry while I slept. My hair is so soft, not a tangled mess, and most importantly it has been like this all damn day. My hair has been a complete shit show for weeks now so this was a much-needed break from that. I'm completely obsessed with it and I'm gonna be looking into this brand more.
The Nourishing Cleansing Cream is $29 for 8.5 bottles.
Buy Marajo's Nourishing Cleansing Cream.
The Deep Treatment Butter is also $29 for a 5.3oz, which kinda pisses me off. Something like this should always have more in it. I use a lot of it so I need more.
Buy Marajo's Deep Treatment Butter.
Actually, if you wanna buy them separately you can use the links above. They sell these same sizes in a set for $44. That's a better price and you get both for $14 less.
I am super happy with this month's box. The theme, the products, the whole thing is perfect and I love it all. This was a great way to start of the new year. I hope it stays like this all year. I'm putting that shit in the universe. I have no time for shit beauty products this year.
These boxes are $10 and some change. If you are interested in signing up as always I have included the link below.
