March Ipsy Glam Bag
Hello Hello Hello!!!!
Welcome to the final week of the year and my subscription review week. I'm kicking off this week with My Ipsy Glam bag.
This month's theme is for Women's History Month, which all the products featured is from Female-founded companies. I'm so fucking here for this bag based on that. We all need some #ipsySHEro inspirations. Also, I have included who said female founder was with the product cause I got interested in that fact.
The card folds this month which I'm honestly not sure if last months did or not. They included info about their Ipsy shop and a SHEro giveaway.
If you open up the card you get the list of products included this month. Since this one is a list I'm not going to include the single pictures with the items. In my head, it just doesn't read well and is overkill since this picture is readable.
I love this bag! It's this stunning rose gold and says "and off she went to change the world". It's simple and straight to the point and I love it for that.
Ofra was founded by Ofra Gaito.
Ofra Cosmetics Star Island Highlighter. I'm a big fan of Ofra they always have amazing products that I never have any issues with. This one comes in a simple case with the decor art logo on the front which goes perfectly with the design of the actual highlighter. The formula is a creamy powder that's super easy to use. You only need 1 swipe of this stuff to get that full shine. I have been using it every day since I got it cause it's so perfect. I would definitely buy this one again. Actually, I need to invest in some more Ofra simple cause I haven't tried a bad product from them.
This one is $35 but you can do installment payments with the brand with After Pay which is a dream.
Space Case was founded by Samara Granofsky.
Space Case Eyeshadow in Messy Lochnessy. I have never heard of this brand before but based on the name alone the packaging is spot on.
This eyeshadow comes in this black jar which features the gold design on there that matches the packaging. The shadow itself is this metallic goldish green. It goes on more like a forest green package with gold hues. It's a super creamy powder that can be used lightly or as a buildable base. I am usually not drawn to green but I really like this and will be seeing what other ways I can use it. Also, I'll be checking to see what more this brand has to offer.
This one goes for $9 on the site. They have a ton of fun shades.
Jolii Cosmetics was founded by Sasha Suresh.
Jolii Cosmetics Luxe Creme Matte in Lavanda. This is another brand that I haven't heard of and it's a lipstick so I was excited about it. The box it comes in is simple with the watercolor design at the bottom. The tube of lipstick is a glassy looking plastic. The product itself goes is creamy and easy to apply with the wand. After about 2 mins it dries matte. It's not sticky, the fade of it is minimal, and doesn't dry out my lips too bad. Plus this pinkish purple color is so lovely. I really like this one and I will have to look into the brand more.
A Tube of this is $18 and they have 10 shades of it. They also sell them in Trio Sets.
Bubble T Cosmetics was founded by Natasha Hatherall-Shawe.
Bubble T Cosmetics Lemongrass & Green Tea Body Lotion. I am pretty sure I have gotten this same exactly lotion before. The bubble design of it is just too familiar to me. This stuff smells amazing. The formula is really thin, which makes it goes on easy but you have to use more of it then you would a thicker lotion. It does leave my skin feel soft but I found myself having to apply more after a short while. I like this one but I wouldn't buy it again.
This one is $5 for a 200ml tube.
skyn Iceland was founded by Sarah Kugelman.
Skyn Iceland Berry Lip Fix. I actually discovered this brand last year when I got a sample of their face wash in an Ulta sample bag. I really loved it so I was excited to try this. It's a light gloss that I only have to use a little to coat my lips. It does have a mint tingle feel too it that I really love. Their face wash did the same thing. After it wears off my lips are soft and hydrated. I really dig this stuff and would buy it again. Actually, I really need to look more into the brand as a whole.
This one is $12 for a 12ml tube.
Here is a look that I created using the products I got with the exception of the Lotion which you can't see. I used the Space Case eyeshadow and the Ofra highlighter to create the eye look. Also the highlighter as well a highlighter. Then for my lips, I prepped them with the Skyn balm before applying the Jolii lipstick.
I really enjoyed this bag, I didn't hate anything in it. Most importantly I didn't get the usual copper eyeshadow or flesh color lipstick. I consider this a big win for this month. I'm going to put it into the universe that they keep it up.
Ipsy is still $10 a month which is taking out the 1st day of the month. If you want to sign up as always there is a link below.
Do you get Ipsy? If so what did you get anything different or better? Tell me stuff.
