Sept Play! by Sephora.
Hiya,
I know it's been a weird week. I have been all over the place with being sick and working. I have been really unmotivated to write anything.
I did manage to crank this one out and I've taken some time to meditate and shit.
Anyways here is my final review of the month. My Sephora Play!
This month theme is Must-See Beauty.
They included some parodies of popular must see shows. I dig it.
This is the 1st blue bag we haven't gotten and I dig it a lot. I like getting new colors of this weird bags. It will make it easier when I use them to sort stuff.
Amika Bushwick Beach No-Salt Wave Spray. I really dig Amika and have had no issue with anything I've tried. This spray is no different I braid my hair then used it on it to give it a little bit of a wave. It doesn't make my hair crunchy or stiff and it smells amazing. I really like the stuff but honestly I don't know if I would buy it again since it's not something I really use.
A 5oz bottle of this is $25.
Fresh Sugar Strawberry Exfoliating Face Wash. I have tried Fresh several time including a scrub. This one was great. It smells heavily of strawberries. The moment you start scrubbing it gets a slight warmth to it. Honestly, I thought I was crazy at first but I dig it. Its not a harsh scrub but just enough to leave your skin clean and soft. I dig it and would buy it again.
This one comes in 2 sizes a mini 0.6oz for $15 and a fill size 4.2oz for $33.
First Aid Beauty Pores Be Gone Matte Primer. This is another brand I've tried and loved. This is a smooth creme that smells like watermelon. It goes on with ease and soaks in almost instantly. I have been using it since I got it and it works amazingly. It doesn't rebel against my foundation or powders. I really like it and would buy it again.
A 1.7 oz tube of this is $28.
Benefits Cosmetics Gimme Brow Volumizing Gel. Benefits eyebrow products are actually my favorite. I have literally tried them all and been really happy with them. This stuff is no different. This is a brow gel which I actually 1st tried in one of these boxes which is how I fell in love with the brand. This is a shade 3 which is too dark for me, but it has been working to apply to my brows before I do foundation then I can build off it with the right shade. This gel is super easy to apply and doesn't take long to dry. I love this stuff so of course, I would buy it again.
Full size of this is $24.
Hourglass Caution Extreme Lash Mascara in Black. I have tried this brand before and honestly, it's been a hit and miss for me. This is mascara and as you know I love mascara so I was excited to give it a try. When I 1st took it out of the box I was really into the fact the tube is shaped like a triangle. It makes it easier to hold and the spoolie is the right size for easy application. It does make my lash longer and doesn't clump so I can apply a couple coats. I really like this one and would buy it again.
A Full Size tube of this is $29.
YSL Libre Eau De Parfum. I have tried several things from this brand loved them. I also like getting perfume samples especially for ones that are out of my price range that I wouldn't even attempt to try. This one is lovely. It's a warm scent with hints of citrus and lavender. It's really a happy medium between a perfume and a cologne. I really dig this one and would buy it if I ever decided to indulge in a fancy perfume.
This comes in 4 sizes a mini 0.33oz for $30, 1oz for $78, 1.07 oz for $104, and 3.04 for $130.
I really enjoyed this month's box. I got stuff that I actually liked from brands I like which is good sometimes the unknown is a little scary.
Anyone else gets one of these? What did you get?
