January Ipsy Bag
Hello there,
We are finishing out the months with my subscription boxes. Starting with Ipsy as I always do.
This month's theme is Clean Slate. Which every January is really the perfect time for a clean slate or a restart for yourself.
Here is a list of what comes in the bag.
This month they went with a marble theme for the bag which I really dig. I think it works perfectly with the theme.
Theorie Charcoal Bamboo Detoxifying Body Scrub. This is a brand and something I've never tried before. I do always appreciate a scrub of any kind though so I was excited to try it. This is a thick gel that is packed full of scrubbing power. It doesn't lather up really well which I expected since it was a gel. I had to use a quarter-sized amount on all my limbs to make sure I got everything. It also has a slight mint to it which is nice. It did leave my skin feeling polish and clean. I like it's but I don't think I would buy it again since I had to use so much of it. This one would be good for just for a spot scrub.
This one is currently on sale for $11.90 for an 8oz tube.
Purlisse Blue Lotus 4-in-1 Cleansing Milk. I have tried this one before. This is a simple cleanser that really looks like a milk gel. I have been using it to remove my makeup then follow up with another cleanser. This one goes on with ease but it doesn't leave me completely cleansed. I think it works better for me as a makeup remover that first step. I wouldn't buy it again.
A 5.07 oz tube is $25.
Jules Smith Beauty Power Gloss in Moonbeam Dream. Another brand I haven't tired. I usually don't care for glosses but this one wasn't bad. It goes on smoothly without a lot of sticky. The color is Iridescent with glitter which works well as a topcoat. I liked it but I wouldn't buy it again since I don't care for glosses.
A full-size tube is $18.
Mischo Beauty Nail Lacquer in #NYFW. I always appreciate a polish so I was excited when I got this one. It looks black in the bottle but it's actually a dark midnight blue. I only had to use 2 coats for full coverage. Actually, I could have done it in 1 but decided not too. I really like the polish it stays on for days and there isn't a lot of chips. I would buy this polish again.
A bottle of this goes for $20. This shade is currently sold out but they have 28 other shades so I included the link to them all.
Morphe Fluidity Full-Coverage Concealer in 1.25. This was the item I got to pick this month. Since I'm a big fan of everything I've tried from Morphe already. This is a simple concealer that's not overly greasy. It goes on and blends with ease. It does rebel with my foundation or my setting powder. I really like it and will be buying it again.
This one is $9 and comes in 31 shades.

I really enjoyed this bag and I'm excited about this year. Hopefully, everything I get I will love.
