Ipsy July 2020
Hello,
I'm forever delayed these days and I'm sorry. I have just been busy with everything and this has gotten pushed to the side. This was the only subscription I got this month and it took me forever to actually try the products. I've just not been in the mood.
Here is my Ipsy review for this month.
This month's theme is Take a Break. Which honestly is what we all need right now to just breathe and take a break. They are still doing the beauty Tips in the inside of the fold-out and I don't care for them. So I'm not including it here.
This is a vinyl bag with the retro Escape logo on it. I really dig the bag and it goes great with the theme.
Now let's talk about these products.
Firma Beauty 201 Tall Blender Brush. I have never gotten a brush from this company. I like the flat black brush handle. Also for some reason, I appreciate brush with the ombre effect. I think its cause I can actually see when it picks up the pigment but doesn't stain the brush itself. This one is great. I used it to blend the eyeshadow in this bag. It holds the product really well and there wasn't a lot of fallout. I like it and will be looking more into the brand.
This brush is $12.99.
MudMasky Facial Detox Purifying Recovery Mask. This is another product that I've never tried before but I always appreciate a good face mask. This one isn't too thick but it's easy to apply. You only have to leave it on in 5 to 10 minutes and then you wash it off. It does have the little scrubby effects to it which I always appreciate and it left my skin feeling polish and with a slight glow. I did like this one but I don't know if I would buy it again.
This one is $70 for 2 fl oz which seems excessive.
BASD Body Lotion in Seductive Sandalwood. This is a thick lotion it goes on smoothly. It smells like an incredible actually the name is super on point. It does really moisturize my skin and I didn't have any breakouts or anything weird. And I've used this on several parts of my body in it it's great. I would buy this one again.
This one is $24.99 for a 15.2 fl oz.
TheBalm Cosmetics Will Powder Blush in Perseverance. I really dig this brand and everything I've ever gotten from them is great. This shade is kind of a rose peach. It does have some shimmer to it so it kind of does function as a highlighter as well. It's really easy to apply and can be used lightly or build upon. And it doesn't conflict with my powder. I really dig it and will use it all up.
This one is part of a Quad Blush Palette for $25.
Jules Smith Beauty Power Duo Palette in Wise Guy and Gold Mine. I don't think I've gotten anything from this brand before if I have I just don't remember it. This is a duo eyeshadow it's got a dark shade and light shade which I did. It's got wiseguy which is the darker chocolate brown shade. And the other is a gold mine which is a tan gold shade. Both have that is a really beautiful shimmer to them. Both go with ease and are completely buildable. I was able to create a simple look at these and I really like this brand and I will have to check it out some more.
This one is $12.
Buy Jules Smith Beauty Power Duo.
