July Ipsy 2022
Hiya!
Here we have our July Ipsy Glam Bag review.
This month’s theme is Soak it All In. Which I feel like is appropriate for a July since everybody wants to be in water also it’s been raining a lot so there’s that.
We have our list of things that are in the bag which I always appreciate. Especially since I couldn’t figure out what one of these was.
This month’s bag is seafoam green and has the texture of waves on it. Also, it’s got the little starfish on the zipper charm. It matches the theme well.
Barefoot Venus Pink Pepper Argan Body Oil. This is a brand I’m not heard of. I also had to look at the list to figure out what in the fuck it was. I’m honestly still not entirely sure. It’s a body oil that’s supposed to be a perfume of some sort. I don’t understand it I’ve used it a couple of times it’s OK. It makes my skin soft. I’m not repurchasing this one because I don’t understand it.
A spray bottle of this is $18.
Prestige Cosmetics Waterproof Automatic Eyeliner in Flannel Grey. This is a brand I don’t believe I’ve heard of before. I am always down for trying an eyeliner. This one is dark charcoal grey. That goes on and appears black from far away but up close you can see it’s grey. I’ve been able to use this in my water line, not so much as a wing especially if I have eyeshadow on. This one isn’t bad but I don’t think I would buy it again.
These are $8, but you can Subscribe and save 10%. Also comes in 10 Shades, most of them are sold out.
APTO Skincare Orange Blossom Cleanser with Grape Seed Oil. I honestly don’t know if I try this brand before. I do appreciate a good cleanser. This one’s weird it’s a liquid gel. This one doesn’t really lather up like I like my cleansers too. It does cleanse my face but it doesn’t really completely. I’ve had to use other cleansers afterward cause I don’t feel like it does a complete job, especially taking makeup off. Actually just in general I don’t like how it makes my skin feel. It also smells slightly of Orange which isn’t bad. I wouldn’t buy this one again.
This one is $18 for a 4floz bottle.
Plunking Yul Highly Moisturizing Essence Mask Pack. This one is a sheet mask, which I haven’t gotten in a while. This is another brand I’ve not heard of. It’s a typical mask that is easy to put on and didn’t fall off my face or anything weird. I left it on for about 20 minutes, took it off, and it didn’t really do anything that I tell. It didn’t cool my face off as most masks tend to do but it may be because it’s a bajillion degree. I didn’t really care for this one so I wouldn’t buy it again.
These are $19 for a 10-pack.
Trend Beauty Mosaic Eyeshadow Palette. This is a brand I’ve not heard of. But this was my pick for the month because it was a full pallet and the colors looked fun.
This pallet is a mixture of mattes and some shimmers and it has a full-size mirror that matches the size of the pallet, which you know I always appreciate.
There are 9 matte, mostly nudes. And there are six shimmers of various shades.
I have swatched the shades on my pale arms so remember they may read differently on me than you. So let’s break down the shades as we go.
Diverse- Orangey tan Matte
Past Tense-reddish orange shimmer
Illusion-medium tan matte
Muse-chocolate brown matte
Vibes-light tan matte
Force-beige matte, literally my skin tone
Plunge-dark beige matte
Design-peachy beige matte
Store-peach shimmer
Element-Light yellow shimmer
Picture Perfect- sea foam green shimmer with sliver glitter packed in it
Composition- light forest green shimmer
Modern Twist-bright blue matte
Principle midnight blue shimmer
Fame-lavender matte
I really like this palette. The shades are all really nice. The formula is nice and I didn’t have a bunch of falls out. They are all buildable and blendable. I also didn’t have any issues mixing these with other brands or products. l liked this one and will have to look more into this brand.
This palette is $12.50 which is a steal for how good it is.
Buy Trend Beauty Mosaic Palette.
This bag was ok. I only really liked 2 products in this one. I need to get back to doing the surveys at the end of the month.
If you want to sign up for Ispy I think it’s up to like $13 a month plus $1.99 shipping. As always there is a link below.
