Break the Look Down-Pink and Purple
Hiya!
I did one of these look breakdowns last year and really like it. So when I was going to do my makeup the other day I decided to do it again. Honestly I may do one of these once a month or so. I haven’t decided yet.
Let’s jump in to break down this look
I trying to start off every morning by washing my face and doing my skincare. Well at least on days that I work it helps wake me up. I had already done my normal morning skincare and I like to add a little more moisturizer when I do my make up. I usually go for this Glam Glow Glowstarte Mega Illuminating Moisturizer cause it give my skin a extra glow.
I primed my face with Yves Saint Laurent Touche Eclat Blur Face Primer. It’s super creamy and goes on like velvet.
I gave myself brows with my go-to brow product Benefit Cosmetics. I started with the Gimme Brow+ Tinted Volumizing Eyebrow Gel to get my brows in order and make them visible, Then I used the Precisely, My Brow Pencil Waterproof Eyebrow Definer to fill in the blank spots.
I used this light iridescent pink from the Huda Beauty Gemstone Obsessions palette as a base shade for my brow bone.
I use the Morphe Social Butterfly Palette for my creases. I used the pink shades of Besties and Bae. Then the purple shades of Influencer and Fame game.
I used the shade Luna from the Color Pop Salon Moon Palette for my lid on the purple side.
I hopped back over to the Huda Beauty Obsessions palette and used this shimmery light pink for the lid. It doesn’t look like a lot in the picture but I went back over it several times after this.
I used Lottie London Wing Edition Stamp Liner Duo to do my black wings. It was the first one I grabbed but I dig it.
Since I have weird skin I like to use this Color Corrector Palette from Revolution Beauty and this Concealer brush which works perfectly to apply it.
I have been rotating foundations to try and figure out which one works best for me. This one is Maybelline’s Fit Me Matte + Poreless Liquid Foundation which I applied with this Silicone ColourPop Blender.
My go-to Concealer is Tarte’s Shape Tape which I put in these areas cause I saw it in a video and liked the look it gives me. I blended it in with my same blender.
Honestly, I tried not to bake but I hate the way foundation leaves my skin feeling greasy and looking shiny. Currently, I’m baking with a mixture of 2 Airspun shades.
Recently I have been using this KVD Vegan Beauty Shade + Light Contour Duo. I have an angel brush that I do 3’s with, meaning I do my forehead, cheekbones, and jawline. Then I use this little flat brush to contour my nose and under my lips.
After I contour I got back over with my Airspun setting powder to lightening it up and even out my face.
This look needed some blush and highlight to match it. So I pulled out my KVD Beauty Fetish Blush and Highlight Palette. I dipped into both the pinks and purples for this one. I used it on both sides instead of one on each.
I keep white eyeliner on hand so put it in my waterline to make my eyes look bigger. This one is from Morphe in the shade Coconut.
Funny Story. I didn’t take a picture with the mascara I used but I did do a video of myself applying it. It’s on my Instagram and Tik Tok which is where I pulled this Screen shot from. I used Benefits Cosmetics They’re Real Magnet Mascara.
After I finish my make up I use this MAC Fix + Play Setting Spray in Lavender. After I spray my face I take this fan and dry it. Seriously try it and you will never not do it
To finish out the look I did 2 tone my lips to match my eyes. I used KVD Beauty’s Studded Lipstick in Roxy (purple) on the left and Huda Beauty Bullet Lipstick in Bachelorette(hot pink) on the Right.
Here is the completely look. I’m pretty happy with how it turned out an want to do more things like this.
