Things I watched in October 2022 Part 1.
Hiya,
So this movie I decided to do a movie challenge for October. You know cause it’s Halloween and the perfect time for it. I had a friends post this list below that they did last year. I’m going to be doing this in 2 parts So it’s not so much chaos.
Day 1: Watch Something from the year you were born. I searched 1988 and this one was the first one that popped up. So of course I had to watch my queen. I hadn’t seen it in years and I adore this movie. Elvira is one of the people who was mainly influenced by my taste and style. This one was on Amazon Prime Video.
Day 2: Watch an Anthology. I googled anthology and this is one of the first ones that popped up. I watch this one purely based on that little dude. Because I remember seeing this movie as a child and it haunted me. The last of the three stories in this movie is my favorite cause it features the little guy who doesn’t scare me as much as he used to now. I found this one on Amazon prime video.
Day 3: It’s Neve Campbell’s birthday. Watch a Scream movie! I decided to go with the original scream because I love this movie. This was one of the first horror movies that didn’t give me nightmares. Of course, if you’ve not seen scream what are you doing with your life? This movie is amazing. The elements are the plot twist factor and I love everything about it. This one is on Paramont plus.
Day 4: RIP. Watch a movie directed by Tobe Hooper. When I got to this day I knew I wanted to watch the original Texas chainsaw masker from 1974. This movie still stands the test of time. With all the factors of this, it’s so good and so well done and still such a great horror movie. This one was on Pluto.
Day 5: Watch something Japanese. This was the first one I found and it just seemed intriguing. I usually avoid foreign films but this one was wild like they were parts of it I was like what the fuck am I watching oh my God. I really enjoyed this one and I didn’t mind the subtitles I feel like I need to stop sleeping on foreign movies. I found this one on Tubi.
Day 6: Watch a horror film featuring a killer car (man-driven or supernaturally). I wanted to watch a movie that I hadn’t seen before and this one seem like it fit the category. Honestly, this one was not that good. It took an hour for all the killing to really start there is only one murder with a car so. I found this one on Tubi.
Day 7: Watch a horror Comedy. I came across this one and it just seemed adorable. This one is cheesy 80s horror. I love this one, apparently, it’s based on a book. I am going to watch it again. I found this one on Amazon prime.
Day 8: RIP. Watch a horror film featuring Bill Paxon. When I looked him up this was the first one up in the list. This movie is incredible, the plot twists in it I did not see coming. Also, this one’s directed by Bill Paxton himself and he killed it. Go watch it. I found it on HBO max.
Day 9: Let someone else pick the horror film you watch today! I got recommended this one several times. This is a new one on Hul. I loved the old one so I was excited to watch this one. This one’s done differently in a way that it shows you how cenobites are created. The main character is a little off I thought she has stoned the whole movie but it’s very well done for an updated version. I really dug it and would watch it again.
Day 10: Watch a ghostly horror film. I hadn’t seen this one. It stars Sandra Oh and it’s produced by Sam Raimi which sold me. This one wasn’t bad it was kind of a hard start but I appreciated the storyline and it ended very well.
Day 11: Watch a film that takes place on Halloween. I didn’t want to watch my go-to of Halloween. So I came across this one cause I do like Art the clown and this was the first one for art. This one is an anthology it’s three different stories the first two are OK. I really like the last one it was gruesome enough to saw the whole thing but I didn’t care for it as a whole.
Day 12: It’s Lin Shades’ birthday. Watch a horror film featuring her! I didn’t want to pick one of the typical ones for her like Insidious and I hadn’t seen this one. This one was a surprising ride of just different things that I didn’t expect. The opening drew me in to try and figure out what was going on and then it died down a little, then went back up. I really liked this when it did keep my attention even when I was not paying attention.
Day 13: Watch a Friday the 13th film. I decided to go with Jason goes to Hell cause I feel like it’s very underrated out of the whole series. Also, this is the one that opens up the doorway for Jason versus Freddy.
Day 14: Watch a movie based on the works of Dean Koontz! I hadn’t seen this movie and I don’t honestly think I have seen a lot of Dean Koontz movies. This movie was incredible and there’s a whole series of this that I think I’m going to read since I somehow have a couple of the books courtesy of my ex.
Day 15: Watch a Hammer Horror film. I picked the first hammer horror movie that I found. I didn’t want to go with anything recent and wanted to go with something classic. I hadn’t seen this one and I really liked it.
